We’re looking for a Ski Patrol Night Supervisor professional to join our team in Girdwood, Alaska. As a Ski Patrol Night Supervisor, you will serve as the operational leader of Ski Patrol during assigned evening shifts. This position provides direct supervision of patrol staff, coordinates terrain openings and closures, manages operational incidents, and serves as the primary liaison between Ski Patrol and other mountain departments during evening operations.

Requirements

OEC or EMT certification
Current CPR/AED certification
NSP Membership
ATF&E Background Check
Minimum 5 years professional ski patrol experience, including at least 3 seasons participating in avalanche mitigation programs
Demonstrated leadership ability and sound judgment
Advanced skiing and toboggan handling skills
Proficiency in lift evacuation, rope rescue, avalanche rescue, and mountain operations

Responsibilities

Directly supervise patrol staff during assigned shifts.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to patrol personnel.
Coordinate daily terrain openings and closures.
Monitor mountain conditions and operational hazards.
Assume Incident Command during significant incidents and operational emergencies occurring during assigned shifts.
Coordinate emergency response.
Serve as a Patrol representative as needed during lift evacuations and operational emergencies.
Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Monitor operational readiness of patrol equipment and rescue systems.
