About The Position

Massanutten Resort is seeking a Ski Lift Mechanic/Electrician to join their Ski Maintenance team. This role is crucial for maintaining the aerial lifts and surface conveyors that power the mountain operations. The position involves working alongside a skilled team focused on safety, reliability, and excellence, combining technical skills with hands-on work in an outdoor, mountain environment.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Experience with basic hand tools.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Comfortable working at heights up to 70 feet.
Ability to lift to 100 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Vocational training in electrical or mechanical trades.
Lift operations experience.
Welding and fabrication experience.
Equipment operation experience.
Valid driver's license with an approved driving record.

Responsibilities

Performing routine maintenance on aerial lifts, the Mountain Mayhem Coaster, and surface conveyors.
Troubleshooting electrical systems and wiring issues.
Conducting preventative maintenance inspections and repairs.
Installing and maintaining slope lighting systems.
Assisting with mechanical repairs and operational improvements.
Maintaining a safe, organized work environment.
Collaborating with fellow technicians to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Perform routine maintenance on aerial lifts, the Mountain Mayhem Coaster, and surface conveyors.
Troubleshoot electrical wiring.
Conduct preventative maintenance checks.
Install new lighting systems.
Maintain a clean work area.
Other duties as assigned by management.
