About The Position

Eldora Mountain Resort is seeking Entry Level SKI Instructors to provide welcoming, inclusive, and fun learning experiences for Eldora guests. Instructors will help guests build confidence, develop skiing skills, and discover a love for winter sports while supporting a safe, positive, and memorable experience on snow. This seasonal role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with people, especially children, and want to be part of a team that shares Eldora’s passion for the outdoors and community. The resort emphasizes fun in its work environment and aims to be 'the Place to Learn!!'. This role is for individuals who love kindergarten-aged students (4-6 year olds) and enjoy keeping the focus on fun. The company believes the adventure lifestyle brings meaning and purpose to people's lives and aims to deliver memorable experiences, enhance people's lives, and have fun doing it.

Requirements

• Ability to ski well, but we are looking for a ‘people person’ who has the desire to develop their personal skiing and/or riding skills.
• Must be an excellent communicator and work well with others in and outside of the SRS department.
• Previous experience working with children (4-14yr olds) preferred.
• Must have empathy and patience.
• High school degree or equivalent
• Ability to meet company standards for background check.
• Able to work long and irregular hours including weekends and holidays
• Must be willing to teach any age range (child through adult).

Responsibilities

• Must love working with kids of all ages and can communicate effectively with children and parents to build long lasting relationships with the entire family.
• Must be able to share your love for skiing with Eldora guests in a safe and effective manner.
• Teach skiing with a keen focus on the welfare of the students.
• Have a desire to learn and develop personal skills by attending our free, ongoing ski & snowboard training.
• Live the Eldora culture of being welcoming and inclusive while abiding by our policies.
• Has an entrepreneurial mindset and sees an opportunity to build their brand through Eldora’s client base and SRS products.
• Work with the SRS team in teaching and non-teaching duties.
• Must be able to access daily schedules and company notices electronically.
• Adheres to all company safety policies and procedures, actively contributing to a safe working environment for self, coworkers, and guests.
• All employees are expected to support Eldora’s corporate responsibility commitment to protect the environment by participating in our Sustainable Transportation Program. This includes choosing alternative transportation, carpooling, using the employee shuttle, and avoiding onsite parking on weekends and peak days.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required by resort operations.
