About The Position

A great day on the mountain starts with boots that fit. When they fit right, a guest skis longer, turns with more confidence, and heads home already planning the next trip. Big Sky Resort's Retail Team is seeking responsible, motivated, and detail oriented Team Members with a passion for boot fitting and guest service. In Big Sky Sports or Peak Pros, you'll work one on one with guests of every ability level, from a first season skier buying their first pair to a seasoned local chasing the perfect fit. Previous boot fitting experience and a basic understanding of biomechanics are preferred but not required. Training is provided, including custom footbed construction and boot fitting techniques, and a general knowledge of current ski boot models and related products is a plus. It's a skill that grows with you season after season. If you love working with your hands and helping guests have their best day on the hill, this is the opportunity for you!

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work both independently and within a team
• Detail-oriented with the ability to retain product knowledge and technical information
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high guest volume
• Stand and walk for extended periods to provide sales floor support
• Sit for extended periods of time when boot fitting
• Frequently bend, squat, kneel, and reach overhead
• Ability to lift, push or pull at least 35 pounds
• Carry products, tools, and boxes up and down stairs
• Comfortable climbing ladders

Nice To Haves

• Previous boot fitting experience
• Basic understanding of biomechanics
• General knowledge of current ski boot models and related products
• Sales or customer service experience

Responsibilities

• Provide professional boot fittings for guests of all ability levels in Big Sky Sports or Peak Pros Outlets
• Apply training to assess needs and recommend appropriate boots, liners, or modifications
• Maintain a friendly and knowledgeable presence with every guest interaction
• Utilize available tools and resources to create lasting customer relationships and drive sales
• Keep work area clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times
• Stay up to date on resort knowledge, including activities, services, and surrounding area points of interest
• Required to preform all functions of a retail sales associate
