About The Position

General Purpose Skating teachers work to provide opportunities for youth, adults, families and older adults to come together at Leddy Arena and attain new technical skills on the ice in a welcoming environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 15 years of age.
• Must have passed at a minimum the US Figure Skating Juvenile MIF test.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work on a varying schedule with varying hours of work on various days of the week.
• Must be able to work effectively with other Arena staff and the general public.
• Ability to maintain professional appearance.
• Ability to pass background check.

Nice To Haves

• Previous work experience teaching ice skating preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach and assist with group skating instruction in weekly lessons and camp settings.
• Respond to public inquiries on arena programs, rules, regulations and use.
