About The Position

Under the direction of the Sizing Department Supervisor, the Sizing Technician operates a limited number of grinding, crushing, and screening equipment to produce specific size or variety of size pieces and powders of chemicals according to route cards. This position involves operating work centers for grinding, crushing, and screening materials to the proper size, following route cards and supervisor instructions. The role also includes bagging, packaging, weighing, and labeling materials, setting up grinding and crushing equipment with assistance, and maintaining Sizing equipment, including performing scheduled preventative maintenance. Additionally, the technician will operate a dry box work center for handling air or moisture-sensitive materials.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds at shoulder height
Must be eligible to access U.S. controlled technology that is subject to the licensing jurisdiction of Dept of State’s International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Dept. of Commerce’s Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
Must qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

Operate work centers involved in grinding and crushing material, and screening materials to proper size, while follow route cards and your supervisor’s instruction.
Bag, package, weigh and label the materials.
Set up grinding and crushing equipment with the assistance of other Sizing Technicians.
Maintain Sizing equipment, including performing preventative maintenance as scheduled.
Operate a dry box work center that allows for the handling of air or moisture sensitive materials.
