About The Position

Under the direction of the Sizing Department Supervisor, the Sizing Technician operates a limited number of grinding, crushing, and screening equipment to produce specific size or variety of size pieces and powders of chemicals according to route cards. You will have the opportunity to operate work centers involved in grinding and crushing material, and screening materials to proper size, while follow route cards and your supervisor’s instruction. You will bag, package, weigh and label the materials. Set up grinding and crushing equipment with the assistance of other Sizing Technicians. Maintain Sizing equipment, including performing preventative maintenance as scheduled. Operate a dry box work center that allows for the handling of air or moisture sensitive materials.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-year industrial or relevant experience, preferred
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds at shoulder height
  • Requires the use of safety glasses, safety shoes, a respirator, and protective clothing such as a uniform or lab coat.
  • Export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
  • Must be eligible to access U.S. controlled technology that is subject to the licensing jurisdiction of Dept of State’s International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Dept. of Commerce’s Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
