About The Position

We’re seeking an engaging and innovative Science Teacher to inspire curiosity, discovery, and critical thinking at Lebanon School District. In this role, you’ll guide students through meaningful scientific learning experiences that connect classroom instruction to real-world applications while helping students develop the skills and knowledge needed for future academic and career success.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in education
Appropriate Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) certification and qualifications prescribed by law, including ESSA requirements

Responsibilities

Creating engaging lessons that bring scientific concepts to life through inquiry, experimentation, and practical applications
Building a safe, positive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore and ask questions
Balancing direct instruction, hands-on learning, collaboration, and critical thinking activities
Integrating technology and research-based instructional practices into science instruction
Connecting classroom learning to scientific advancements, innovation, and real-world problem solving
Design and deliver engaging science curriculum aligned to PA Standards and district goals
Help students understand the value of science and how scientific research impacts everyday life
Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs and instructional levels, including advanced placement courses
Use data-driven insights to strengthen student achievement and instructional effectiveness
Collaborate with colleagues, families, and administrators to support student success and growth
Participate in curriculum development, professional learning, and school-wide initiatives that promote educational excellence
Foster curiosity, analytical thinking, and a lifelong appreciation for scientific learning
