About The Position

Jovie is an independently owned, community and purpose-driven organization, that provides caregivers with training, resources and support to develop their childcare skills and confidence on the job. Jovie families need your joy, your sense of fun and your childcare know-how. Jovie has helped thousands of parents find childcare with full or part-time nannies and sitters and emergency back up care. This is a part-time position for a wonderful Creve Coeur family seeking a reliable sitter for two children ages 3 years and 5 years. The needs of the family will vary and could include mornings as early as 6:00am and include transportation to school, evenings starting at 5:30pm and include transportation from school, or overnights. Shifts will be planned out months in advance. The family would love to establish a good connection with a sitter long term for consistency and structure for the children.

Requirements

Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
Must be willing to transport children as part of duties.
Subject to a mandatory background check.

Nice To Haves

Experience in caring for children with developmental delays and/or knowledge pertaining to ABA is ideal, however, family is open to sitters who are willing to learn and who will follow a provider-guided routine.

Responsibilities

Share meaningful moments with little ones through play and help with homework.
Keep a watchful eye to ensure every child feels secure and well-protected.
Prepare yummy snacks to keep everyone energized.
Lead the way in "clean-up time," teaching the kids to help restore the home after a day of fun.
Become an honorary member of the family by building deep, trusting relationships with parents and kids alike.
Transport children to and from school.
Provide care during weekday evenings, early mornings, and occasional overnights.
