About The Position

The Site Surveyor in Southern California is responsible for performing site audits and collecting technical data for solar system design. Requires travel, roof work experience, and strong communication skills. Join Our World Energy and help power Illinois future with renewable energy!

Requirements

At least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of roof work or general construction experience.
Ability to understand, read, and comprehend contract documents and plans.
Written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to safely handle power tools and hand tools, as well as materials such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, lumber, and roofing materials.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.
Daily travel to work site required.
Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements.
Must have a valid driver's license while maintaining a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Perform site audits and collect technical data for solar system design.
Manage schedule to complete time-sensitive tasks daily.
Create detailed rooftop map layout for solar arrays, including dimensions and roof penetrations.
Conduct site survey appointments, collecting site information and preparing deliverable packages.
Collect detailed shading data using designated software and applications.
Perform physical site audits using tools like a tablet PC, measuring devices, CRM application/equipment, and a digital camera.
Prepare site audit documents to coordinate with the design/engineering department.
Understand simple geometry for calculating area and material panel layouts.
Adhere to all safety requirements and regulations.
