About The Position

The Site Supervisor will provide journeyman level support and shall be responsible for assisting the Project Manager in making critical decisions for the contract. This position is responsible for systems and equipment including heating and ventilation, pumps, hot water, cold water, air conditioning, valves, piping, filters, plumbing systems, electrical systems, etc. The Site Supervisor will supervise employees engaged in the operation, maintenance, and repair of the equipment and systems on-site. They will conduct routine assessments and perform preventative and reactive maintenance, with constant reviews on operating and servicing functions to prevent breakdowns. This role ensures personnel perform all tasks safely and effectively, operating and maintaining site-critical engineering systems and equipment in accordance with diagrams, operating manuals, industry best practices, and manufacturers specifications. The supervisor will support staff with engineering systems and drawings, including boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, electrical distribution systems, generators, UPS systems, etc. They will operate and maintain critical systems such as HVAC, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), generators, batteries, switchgear, life safety and building automated systems, and utility systems. Periodic inspections of all engineering systems and equipment, monitoring equipment operations, and maintaining equipment logs and reports are also key responsibilities. The role requires proficiency in using test equipment and analyzing test results pertinent to building operating systems.

Requirements

  • EPA Universal Certification
  • 4 years of experience within the past 7 years in the operations and maintenance of commercial facilities similar in scope and size to current building
  • Experience with managing preventative and reactive work order maintenance schedules
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to communicate professionally, positively, and effectively with government representatives, vendors, and customers
  • Proficient in computer applications including work order systems, Microsoft Office, and email applications
  • Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and lead project to completion
  • Experience in CMMS systems

  • HVAC journeyman license

Responsibilities

  • Supervise employees engaged in the operation, maintenance, and repair of the equipment and systems on-site.

  • Monitor and update Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) guides regularly.
  • Ensure personnel perform all task safely and effectively.
  • Ensure staff operate and maintain site-critical engineering systems and equipment that supply the facility with heat, utility and conditioned power, ventilation, air conditioning and other environmental and critical systems in accordance with diagrams, operating manuals, industry best practices, and manufacturers specifications.
  • Support staff with the engineering systems and drawings and equipment, including boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, electrical distribution systems, generators, UPS systems, etc.
  • Operate and maintain critical systems such as HVAC, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), generators, batteries, switchgear, life safety and building automated systems, and utility systems.
  • Make periodic inspections of all engineering systems and equipment and monitoring equipment operations, maintain equipment operating logs and operational reports as required.
  • Proficiently use test equipment and devices pertinent to building operating systems and analyze test results.
