About The Position

steveworks is a worker-owned, design-build, residential remodeling company seeking a Site Supervisor. The Site Supervisor is the central point of contact between the client, design team, and field crew (including subcontractors) on the jobsite. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a project from beginning to end, ensuring maximum efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. While not expected to perform hands-on carpentry, the Site Supervisor must possess the technical competence for problem-solving and the managerial skills to actively monitor all jobsite activities and personnel. steveworks operates as a Triple Bottom Line company, prioritizing People, Planet, and Prosperity, with a focus on craftsmanship, durability, value, and sustainability in its residential remodeling projects. Requirements

  • 5-10 years of relevant residential remodeling carpentry experience
  • 3-5 years of lead carpenter, site supervisor, and/or project management experience
  • Effective communication skills with clients, crew, subcontractors and management
  • Experience managing multiple (2-4) concurrent jobs at different stages of production
  • Experience running a carpentry crew, scheduling subs, and standing inspections
  • Proficient with written communication, spreadsheets, construction management software and other technologies required for communication and project tracking.
  • Effective problem-solving experience and ability to plan ahead
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Understanding of principles of sustainability and building science such as advanced framing, air sealing, water management, and weatherization techniques
  • Track record of running a safe, clean, efficient job site
  • Ability to lead a job site team that is cohesive, mutually respectful, and works well together
