About The Position

The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing janitorial staff, ensuring that established standards are met, and performing necessary janitorial duties. This role involves managing supplies, assisting with staffing, training and guiding the team, resolving conflicts, and maintaining quality standards. The supervisor will also handle client complaints, complete required paperwork, and make recommendations for staff promotions or dismissals. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as the role may require overtime, including extra hours, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Assign janitorial duties to staff and regularly inspect their work to ensure that established standards are met.
Issue cleaning supplies and equipment to janitorial staff as needed.
Take inventory of all cleaning supplies and equipment and inform management when supplies are depleted.
Assist the recruiting department with staffing needs.
Provide training and guidance to janitorial staff.
Resolve conflicts between janitorial staff in an efficient manner.
Attend meetings and in-service training sessions as required.
Perform all janitorial duties necessary and cover when short-staffed.
Perform additional services like carpet extractions and floor maintenance.
Monitor staff attendance and report absences.
Complete and submit all required paperwork, including quality reports, signoffs, and summary sheets.
Make recommendations to upper management regarding promotions, transfers, and dismissals.
Maintain quality standards.
Investigate and resolve clients’ complaints of missed or improperly cleaned areas.
Assist with the completion of additional work orders if necessary.
