About The Position

The Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing Security Officers assigned to a specific site. This role involves acting as the primary point of contact for both the officers and the client, ensuring that all post orders are followed, training new employees, and maintaining adequate shift coverage. The supervisor will also be responsible for submitting payroll on time and minimizing overtime. This position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage personnel effectively, including coaching and disciplinary actions. The supervisor may also perform the duties of a Security Officer when necessary.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Security required.
  • May be required to hold and continue to meet the requirements for any applicable state, county and municipal license for Security Officers.
  • Knowledge of security operations with an emphasis on patrol, inspection and response services.
  • Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
  • Ability to provide positive direction and motivate performance.
  • Understanding of a variety of security and safety devices and controls.
  • Ability to learn quickly and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
  • Ability to track and maintain schedule assignments.
  • Ability to be an effective team member.
  • Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.
  • Courteous telephone manner.
  • Ability to adapt to various sites and changes in post procedures.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports.

  • Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey, in addition to any mandatory licensing requirements.

  • Keyboarding, basic computer usage, and operating controls.
  • Seeing, hearing, speaking and writing clearly in order to communicate with employees and clients, observe and report incidents, and direct others.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
  • Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
  • Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regular use of vehicle for the performance of duties.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Point of Contact for Security Officers regarding call-offs, vacation requests, and other personnel matters.
  • Act as the Point of Contact for the Client and Securitas Management.
  • Ensure that Security Officers adhere to their duties and responsibilities, including training new employees.
  • Ensure all shifts are covered at all times.
  • Submit payroll accurately and on time each week.
  • Minimize overtime hours.
  • Supervise Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other company personnel assigned to client site(s).
  • Ensure all post orders are followed and established rounds are completed.
  • Ensure required reports are filed.
  • Notify proper authorities and client in emergency situations.
  • Coach and discipline personnel as appropriate, documenting all actions.
  • Train Security Officers and other company personnel, reviewing post orders and assignment details.
  • Assist in the submission of payroll and personnel information.
  • Ensure adequate coverage of all posts and positions.
  • Prepare, file, and submit various reports as required.
  • Inspect posts and meet with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities.
  • Meet with client representatives to ensure security requirements are met and provide quality customer service.
  • Perform supervisory duties including interviewing, orienting, training, planning, assigning, directing work, coaching, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, addressing complaints, resolving problems, and making hiring/termination recommendations.
  • Perform the duties of a Security Officer as needed.
