About The Position

Novacom Building Partners is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee a new ground-up restaurant project in Penticton, BC, from start to finish. The role involves leading on-site activities, coordinating trades, solving problems, and ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget. This is a stand-alone, fast-paced build in the Okanagan, with support from the Surrey-based PM team. The project value is approximately $3.5M, with a duration of about 6 months (June 2026 – November 2026). There is potential for follow-on work in BC. The schedule is primarily Monday – Friday, day shift, with potential for some weekend work. The start date is immediate or within 1-2 weeks.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in commercial construction, ideally as a Site Superintendent.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, scheduling, and quality control.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, SiteDocs, Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams).
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to sites across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Must already reside in the Greater Vancouver area and be available for in-person site work.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily construction site activities and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate trades and suppliers, build strong relationships, resolve challenges quickly, and keep all work progressing efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the PM team to align site execution with schedule, budget, and client expectations.
  • Act as the on-site representative in meetings with architects, consultants, and clients.
  • Use Procore, Outbuild and other tools to manage field reports, schedules, change orders, cost tracking, and more.
  • Identify efficiencies, control costs, and provide regular financial updates to leadership.
