About The Position

As a Site Superintendent, you will manage on-site, daily construction, installation, and maintenance of underground utility infrastructure (water, sewer, storm drainage) and site work.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in heavy civil construction, specifically focusing on underground utilities (water, sewer, storm).
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, site plans, and understanding utility installation techniques.
  • Strong ability to manage field foremen and crews, providing direction and training.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification is often required.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment and its use in utility excavation and installation.
  • Self-motivated, results oriented, adaptable, team player, accountable, ethical, innovative, resilient, builds relationships, builds people/teams and followership, sets direction and executes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Visual acuity for reading plans and inspecting work.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis in order to be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise field crews and subcontractors for the installation of underground utilities, including water mains, sanitary sewer systems, and storm drainage.
  • Plan day-to-day operations, prioritize tasks, and manage material deliveries and equipment onsite.
  • Interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and adherence to municipal or site regulations.
  • Enforce safety policies, including OSHA standards and company-specific safety programs, to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Work with project managers, engineers, and inspectors to resolve issues and ensure project milestones are met.
  • Perform inspections of work in progress, manage site logistics (fencing, erosion control, site preparation).
