About The Position

The Site Superintendent for Single Family homes is responsible for the comprehensive oversight of construction projects from planning through delivery. This role involves developing and updating construction schedules, coordinating pre-construction activities, and managing day-to-day site operations. Key responsibilities include monitoring project progress to ensure on-time completion and budget adherence, conducting final quality inspections, and proactively addressing potential delays or cost overruns. The Superintendent is also tasked with enforcing the company’s safety program, conducting safety meetings, and ensuring proper use of equipment and protective gear. Additionally, the role involves scheduling and coordinating subcontractors, inspecting their work, managing material deliveries and storage, and maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment while ensuring compliance with local codes and company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update detailed construction schedules to meet milestones.
  • Coordinate pre-construction site readiness, including inspections and permits.
  • Oversee day-to-day site operations and address any delays or conflicts.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure on-time completion and budget alignment.
  • Identify and address potential delays or cost overruns proactively.
  • Conduct final inspections to ensure homes meet quality standards before move-in.
  • Enforce the company’s safety program through regular site inspections.
  • Conduct safety meetings and training for staff and subcontractors.
  • Ensure proper use of equipment, tools, and personal protective gear.
  • Schedule and coordinate subcontractor activities to meet deadlines.
  • Inspect completed work for quality and adherence to project specifications.
  • Address performance issues and approve work before processing payments.
  • Schedule and verify material deliveries to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Adjust material takeoffs to prevent delays or unnecessary surplus.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to maintain their integrity.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
  • Address and resolve construction defects or warranty claims during the build.
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with local codes and company standards
