About The Position

The Senior Site Superintendent / Quality Control Manager will support a federal construction renovation project at Ascension Auxiliary Airfield on Ascension Island. This is a remote-site assignment requiring an experienced, independent field leader who can manage daily construction operations, coordinate multiple trades, maintain quality control discipline, identify project risks early, and work professionally with Government personnel, base operations, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. This is not a typical stateside superintendent position. The selected candidate must be able to live and work on Ascension Island for approximately 180 days at a time and operate effectively in a small-island environment with limited supply-chain flexibility. The role requires strong field leadership, mature judgment, disciplined documentation, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to maintain positive working relationships in a remote community. The project involves renovation of an existing dormitory facility and includes coordination of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, roofing, demolition, environmental, and finish work. The Superintendent / QCM will be responsible for maintaining field execution, quality control, subcontractor coordination, schedule awareness, and communication with the remote project management team.
