Site Superintendent in Training
About The Position
The Site Superintendent in Training oversees functions critical to the success of the mission – construction with volunteers and the planning behind it. This role involves leading volunteers on build days, reviewing house plans, monitoring the construction process, assisting with inventory, and serving as a liaison to homebuyers. The position requires mastering carpentry, roofing, finish, and volunteer management skills, as well as completing required training such as OSHA Fall Protection, CPR & First Aid, and Volunteer Management. The individual will also provide input to the Volunteer Skilled Supervisor (VSS) Training Matrix, attend construction team and all-staff meetings, perform other duties as assigned, and support departmental policies and procedures. Additionally, the role involves serving as an ambassador for Atlanta Habitat, assisting volunteers and sponsors, and adhering to Atlanta Habitat's policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Instruct & lead volunteers on-site
- Understanding Atlanta Habitat construction process
- Current knowledge of residential construction techniques preferred
- Computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong leadership skills
- Extensive driving around the City of Atlanta
- Subject to periodic DMV checks for driving records and valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of one year of professional experience required; preferably construction related
- Able to lift up to 75 pounds

Responsibilities
- Leading volunteers on build days

- Serve as an ambassador for Atlanta Habitat
