About The Position

Vertiv is seeking a Site Services Technician / Structural Welder to join our Anderson, SC manufacturing team. This role combines structural welding and steel fabrication with field service support. Up to 60% travel is required to customer sites across the contiguous U.S. to perform post-installation repairs and ensure our modular buildings meet Vertiv's quality standards. When not traveling, you will support manufacturing operations in our Anderson facility.

Requirements

6+ years of construction, structural welding, or steel fabrication experience.
6+ years of MIG and Stick (SMAW) welding experience
3+ years of fabrication, rough-in, or millwork experience.
Experience reading blueprints, fabrication drawings, and engineered shop drawings.
Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe welding practices.
Ability to travel up to 60% throughout the contiguous U.S.
Valid US driver's license.
Legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided.

Nice To Haves

Flux Core welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Travel to customer sites to perform post-installation repairs, including: Structural welding repairs, Touch-up painting, Fastener and bolt repairs
Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and engineered shop drawings.
Perform MIG, Flux Core, and Stick (SMAW) welding on structural steel components.
Fabricate and assemble steel components for modular and prefabricated buildings.
Inspect welds to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Operate welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely and efficiently.
Collaborate with manufacturing and field teams to meet production and project timelines.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Document completed work and report quality or installation issues.
