About The Position

West Red Lake Gold Mines Ltd. is seeking a Site Services Operator to join their team. This role will support site surface operations through a variety of tasks and duties, reporting to the Mill Supervisor. The successful candidate will be part of the initial team to grow and operate a regionally significant new underground mine development in the Red Lake Gold District of Ontario, Canada. The role operates on a 7/7 schedule.

Requirements

Minimum Grade 12 education or GED
3 years’ of relevant work experience
Valid Driver’s license
Experience on loader, forklift, and other mobile heavy equipment
Ability and willingness to perform manual labour as required for this position
Ability to take direction and be a team player
Ability and willingness to work outdoors – in all elements
Excellent reading, writing and communication skills are essential
Self motivated
Must be willing to produce a criminal background check, pre-employment physical and drug and alcohol test

Nice To Haves

Carpentry experience considered an asset

Responsibilities

Complies with all safety requirements and observes all company policies and procedures
Support site infrastructure/buildings, both interior and exterior maintenance needs with direction from supervision
Trouble shoot equipment when it is not functioning properly
Operating a variety of mobile equipment to maintain the waste management facilities and site roads in a safe, sustainable and environmentally effective manner
General labourer duties
