About The Position

The Site Services Technician II is responsible for critical building maintenance, some critical infrastructure R&M, repair of the facility and grounds. This role requires on-site work hours to support a 24X7X365 data center environment and is not eligible for remote and/or hybrid work.

Requirements

GED, High School Diploma, Trade School, Military or equivalency
Three or more years of experience in the facilities maintenance field
Completion of General Services Maintenance courses
Ability to use hand tools
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
The ability to pass job-related skills assessments based on pre-determined scoring criteria and time frames.
The ability to acquire and apply job-related knowledge within set guidelines and expectations.
Emergency System Infrastructure, Operating Procedures, mock drills, and adherence
Change Management Process
CMMS – Computerize Maintenance Management System
Inventory Management including shop maintenance and inventory controls
Provisioning and Procurement Processes
Electrical Circuity and controls as well as circuit installation including conduit, wire pulling, termination and metering
General construction skills and familiarity of hand tools
Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team-oriented environment
Ability to lift and carry 50-75 pounds and work from ladders and scaffolding
Ability to walk, stand, and sit for 8-12 hours.
Open and responsive to change and responds actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all customers

Nice To Haves

Completion of CET Maintenance courses, FLS courses, and Roof System courses
Experience in a critical operations building and/or data center environment

Responsibilities

Assists with the repair, and maintenance of all walls, doors, flooring, roofing, exteriors, signage, fencing, barricades, plumbing/piping, lighting and lighting equipment, located in the interior and exterior of building.
Assists with monitoring operations, conducting routine and on-going assessment of the building systems operations and performance.
Assists with performing tests, rounds and analyzing data to ensure the proper functioning of departmental equipment.
Responds to all weather related circumstances, which may require snow or debris removal.
Records readings and make adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment.
Analyzes the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required.
May be required to assist with the installation and repair plumbing install and repair piping, valves, filters, hot water systems and assist other mechanics and operators with repairs and maintenance of building and equipment and client installations.
Responsible for reporting any problems/malfunctions that may be seen heard or noted during building tours.
Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
Maintains a clean and safe workplace using general maintenance hand tools of all types including vacuums, floor scrubbing and polishing equipment, snow removal equipment, leaf blowers, shrub and hedge trimmers, painting tools of all types, and carpentry tools.
Inventory management including maintaining and procurement of supplies
Develop maintenance agreements, procedures, MOPs, and perform inspections and audits.
Ensure that infrastructure is compliant with government regulations and operational guidelines.
Keep current all necessary licenses, permits and certifications required by QTS procedures.
Drive innovation into facilities programs/systems with an environmentally conscious attitude of “go green”, / PUE.
Use comparative and analytical skills to benchmark best practices between electrical and mechanical systems.
May be responsible for team lead and 24x7x365 on call responsibilities.
Logistics management
Build vendor relationships and coordinate on-site activities
