The Site Security Coordinator (SSC) is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the overall security program for a construction project. This role ensures the protection of the site, personnel, materials, and equipment against unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, sabotage, and other security risks. The SSC serves as the primary point of contact for security matters, collaborating closely with the Client/Owner, General Contractor (GC), subcontractors, and security technology providers (e.g., Sitemetric systems). This is a hands-on, full-time on-site role requiring proactive planning, ongoing coordination, and enforcement of a living Construction Security Plan (CSP) or Construction Management Plan (CMP). The plan is a dynamic document that evolves with project phases and is updated in coordination with the Client. This position plays a critical role in safeguarding the project, minimizing disruptions, and ensuring a secure environment for successful construction delivery.
