About The Position

This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations within an industrial setting. The position involves conducting safety inspections, leading training sessions, investigating incidents, and maintaining safety records. The Site Safety professional will collaborate with management and staff to address safety concerns and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols. Continuous improvement of safety standards through staying updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards in an industrial setting.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify hazards and assess risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and engage employees.
  • Ability to conduct thorough investigations and prepare detailed reports.
  • Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to conduct site inspections and respond to emergencies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Certification in safety management (e.g., Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST)).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety role within an industrial setting.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
  • Must have Valid TWIC Card.

Responsibilities

  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes to continuously improve safety standards.
