The Site Safety Specialist supports Fisher Industries' heavy civil construction, aggregate, mining, asphalt, concrete, crushing, and related field operations by helping ensure compliance with company safety expectations, client requirements, site-specific plans, and applicable OSHA, MSHA, EM 385-1-1, DOT, and other regulatory standards. This role provides daily on-site safety support at an assigned job site, conducts inspections and training, identifies and helps control hazards, supports incident response and corrective actions, and works directly with project leadership, foremen, crews, subcontractors, and management to maintain a safe, productive, and compliant workplace. This position is assigned primarily to one job site and requires a consistent on-site presence during active work activities. Limited travel may be required for training, project support, regional meetings, or temporary coverage, but regular or extensive travel is not expected for this role. The position may require occasional schedule flexibility, including early mornings, nights, weekends, or extended shifts based on project needs.
