About The Position

Join a General Contractor supporting the final phases of construction on a six-story apartment building addition connected to a senior care facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The Site Safety Representative will provide daily field safety oversight for roofing and exterior construction activities while working directly with project leadership, subcontractors, and craft personnel to identify hazards, maintain compliance, and support the safe completion of critical project milestones.

Requirements

OSHA 30 Certification
Minimum 1-2 years of construction safety experience
Experience supporting roofing, exterior, or elevated work activities
Knowledge of fall protection requirements and safe work practices
Experience conducting field inspections and hazard assessments
Ability to maintain a visible and proactive field presence
Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
Working knowledge of Fall Protection Systems
Working knowledge of Roofing Safety
Working knowledge of Elevated Work Activities
Working knowledge of Ladder Safety
Working knowledge of Scaffold Safety Awareness
Working knowledge of Material Handling Operations
Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
Working knowledge of Hazard Recognition & Risk Mitigation
Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions
Working knowledge of Contractor Safety Management
Working knowledge of Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation

Responsibilities

Provide daily field safety oversight for roofing and exterior construction activities
Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments
Monitor fall protection systems and elevated work activities
Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
Coordinate safety activities with project management and subcontractors
Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation
Maintain required safety documentation and compliance records
Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
