About The Position

PCI is seeking an experienced Site Safety Manager for its Dallas 114 operations for projects in the West Texas/Panhandle area. This individual will be responsible for implementing and administering project specific and client site specific prevention plans, policies, and procedures. They will provide support to the PCI project management and field craft, ensure required safety reports and documentation are submitted in a timely manner, and council and coach workers to gain compliance with company policies and client requirements. The role involves promoting and enforcing safety procedures, conducting internal site safety inspection audits, and assisting in the investigation and claim management of work-related injuries, illnesses, and near-miss incidents. The Site Safety Manager will also act as a liaison between the company and the client regarding site safety management, attend internal and customer required meetings, and assist in identifying, correcting, and mitigating safety and health hazards. Additionally, they will help track safety equipment and PPE and confirm equipment inspections are being completed.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 5 years’ experience in construction safety
  • Must have OSHA 30 and 510 certifications
  • Current 1st Aid/CPR Certification
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Displays strong verbal communication skills with an ability to effectively convey information to employees, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
  • Physically able to perform assigned tasks
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds independently
  • Knowing OSHAs construction standards (General Industry standards are also preferred but not required)

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
  • Degree in Occupational or Environmental Health and Safety is a plus
  • Previous experience conducting safety training is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist the project with implementing and administering project specific and client site specific prevention plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide support to the PCI project management and field craft.
  • Ensure that the projects required safety reports and documentation are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Council and coach workers to gain compliance with the company’s policies and procedures, and client’s site-specific requirements.
  • Promote and enforce safety procedures and safe work practices.
  • Complete internal site safety inspection audits, to identify safety compliance on the projects, as well as the clients required safety audits (If any).
  • Assist in the investigation of work-related injuries, illnesses, and near-miss incidents.
  • Assist in claim management of work-related injuries.
  • Conduct accurate accident reporting in a timely matter and send it to the PCI branch safety manager for review.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and the client as it relates to site safety management.
  • Be professional no matter the circumstance.
  • Attending internal and customer required meetings.
  • Assist in identifying, correcting, and mitigating routine and non-routine safety and health hazards on the project.
  • Assist in keeping track of safety equipment and PPE on the project.
  • Confirm equipment inspections are being completed on the project (Rigging, fall protection, MEWPs, forklifts, etc.).
