The Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) will be responsible for all job-specific safety training and for following all procedures to ensure the safety of the physical environment for employees and sub-contractors. The successful candidate must have a comprehensive knowledge of the day-to-day safety field operations for their assigned project(s) and have Associate Safety Professional, Certified Safety Trained Supervisor, and/or Construction Health & Safety Technician certification(s). Must provide onsite training for all field personnel and review and monitor subcontractor safety program compliance. The SSHO is responsible for performing safety management, surveillance, inspections, and safety enforcement. Familiarity with DOD/ NAVFAC/ USACE construction requirements to include EM 385-1-1 and applicable OSHA regulations is a must.
