Our client's OSP group has won a large contract in NM along the boarder to include, underground trenching/plowing, fiber runs, pole mounts, camera installation, etc. This work will be performed along side of Barnard (prime) in which they are in need of a SSHO to oversee OSHA practices/regulations, compliance, regulatory review/protocol, site safety inspections/planning, audits, accident prevention planning, lead safety meeting/toolbox talks (implement morning stretches), etc. This resource should understand OSHA, EM 385-1-1, safety flow down with sub contractors and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ). This is not limited to crane/lifting operations including critical lifts, night/low visibility operations, excavation, trenching, fiber installation (direct-bury, getting, splicing, testing), electrical equipment installation, yard operations, etc. This work is built out until the end of 2027-beginning of 2028 where the contract can end or if work is available extend contract with FTE opportunity. The work environment/location is very rural. Barnard have onsite man camps that include private 1 bedroom housing with full kitchen and bathroom. Resources can stay onsite, will get $45/day per diem, and onsite company vehicle. Day to day will include a 90 mile stretch bouncing in between multiple sites and crews, morning safety meetings (stretch), open to working 5-6 12 hour days (12am-12pm overnight). Resources can go home on weekends on their own costs.
