About The Position

The Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) manages the Safety and Health Program for all operations and maintenance activities performed under the contract. The SSHO develops, implements, and administers the Accident Prevention Plan, Activity Hazard Analyses, and site-specific safety procedures while ensuring compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA, DHA, and MTF safety requirements. The SSHO serves as the primary safety representative and oversees safety performance for both company and subcontractor personnel.

Requirements

  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification
  • Minimum 5 years continuous safety management experience
  • Eight (8) hours of documented safety training annually for the previous five years
  • Experience supervising safety programs within O&M, industrial, or construction environments
  • Knowledge of EM 385-1-1
  • Experience conducting hazard analyses and implementing controls
  • Must be able to successfully pass, as required, a federal, state, or local government's background investigation.
