Requirements

Writes production-quality code in a modern language such as Python or Go.
Strong software engineering foundation.
Comfortable being assessed on coding ability.
Significant experience with reliability for production systems and services at scale, ideally in a consumer, fintech, or high-availability environment.
Experience in a high-bar, high-scale engineering organization with a strong engineering culture.
Recent people leadership experience (managed a small engineering team within the last few years).
Hands-on experience with observability, alerting, safe deploys, automation, and incident command.
Calm and credible communication skills with teams and during live incidents.

Responsibilities

Lead a senior SRE team, providing planning, clarity, and career growth, focusing on high-leverage reliability work.
Write production code, build automation, tooling, and golden paths.
Contribute to the team's codebase, perform design and code reviews, and set technical standards by example.
Define service ownership, alerting, dashboards, runbooks, and deploy/rollback safety.
Run regular service-health reviews for supported systems.
Participate in the incident loop, running incident command when needed, driving remediation, and preventing recurrence.
Help build self-service incident tooling and runbook automation.
Design sustainable on-call coverage through staffing, handoffs, and automation.
Partner with service teams and engineering leaders to raise reliability standards, maintaining clear boundaries between SRE enablement and service-team ownership.
