About The Position

Site Reliability Engineer The Opportunity: Engineering to make a system more resilient and efficient frees up time and money to build more capabilities. Whether you come from a background in network engineering, systems administration, or software development—if you have a passion for making systems better, we need you! As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) on our team, you’ll help clients develop more robust systems by building a resilient infrastructure. You’ll build in redundancy, implement monitoring tools, and automate wherever possible. You’ll reduce toil by scripting routine tasks and automating self-repair. This is your chance to further your skills in aviation systems while continuing to grow your SRE experience. Work with us as we help improve our nation’s operations. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience provisioning and managing infrastructure and applications in Cloud environments, including in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience with building, deployment, release automation, or orchestration
  • Experience supporting enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) environments, including activities around the automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing such as CI/CD
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Loki, Alloy, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, or Kibana and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
  • Experience with automation tools, including Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible, automating system configurations, and orchestrating network operations and DevOps pipelines, including scaling, releases, and day-to-day system operations in Cloud environments
  • Experience managing Git-based version control systems, including GitLab or GitHub
  • Experience documenting an as-is state of the environment, performing a gap analysis, and producing artifacts that articulate options and recommendations
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cybersecurity concepts, including threats, vulnerabilities, security operations, patching, boundary defense, auditing, or authentication
  • Experience identifying and implementing automation to improve user experience (UX)
  • Experience scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby
  • Experience with open technologies, DevOps, and IaC tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Gitlab, Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform, Ansible, and Git
  • Experience with cloud native container orchestration technologies, including EKS
  • Experience with system integration using a variety of protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML
  • Experience leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration
  • Experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies
  • AWS, Certified Solutions Architect Associate, Certified Solutions Architect Professional, or Certified DevOps Professional Certification
