Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) is part of IS&T and delivers global-scale platforms and services that keep Apple's operations secure and running. The team manages identity, device security, and anti-abuse platforms — covering everything from manufacturing and repairs to software updates and activations. ETS also oversees supply chain, manufacturing, and partner integration platforms, protecting data on more than 2.5 billion devices worldwide. A good fit candidate for this role would demonstrate a strong passion for designing, deploying and monitoring systems that are fast, efficient, and scalable at every layer. The candidate will have a deep curiosity to understand how applications behave under load, identify bottlenecks across infrastructure, databases, and code paths, and optimize them for peak performance. They should be comfortable analyzing complex datasets to uncover inefficiencies, and partnering with engineering teams to drive measurable improvements. A strong instinct to automate validation, visualize metrics, and translate technical insights into actionable outcomes is key to success in this role.

Requirements

• BS in engineering, computer science or other technical disciplines.
• 4+ years of working experience in ITIL terminology for incident and problem management.
• Monitoring distributed systems application architectures in log monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. Splunk).
• Hands-on knowledge in java programming and REST APIs for Application debugging and root cause analysis.
• Strong in at-least one programming or scripting languages like Perl, Python, Ruby etc., for developing tools in Observability, ETL etc..
• Track record of excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of database principles and working knowledge in distributed storage and infrastructural solutions such as Oracle, Cassandra, SOLR, and Kafka.
• Good command on Linux, Networking concepts (TLS/SSL, DNS, Load Balancers, etc.,) and troubleshooting skills in large scale environments.
• Experience with container management and micro-services architectures such as Docker in cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
