About The Position

Scale Cloud Infrastructure as a Site Reliability Engineer in AWS GovCloud! Trimble is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our globally diverse team helping develop and support our FedRAMP PaaS portfolio. This role is a key member of cloud-hosted solutions residing in AWS GovCloud, offering a great opportunity to join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial team with the financial stability of a global public corporation. In this role, you will directly drive the security posture, operational excellence, and architectural scalability of critical public cloud services across high-stakes AWS GovCloud environments while collaborating with a high-performing international team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of hands-on experience with public cloud platforms, specifically AWS or Azure.
System administration experience and scripting abilities in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Perl.
Practical understanding of IT operations, including networking, computing, storage, and incident management.
Clear verbal and written communication skills with strong problem-solving capabilities.

Nice To Haves

Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
Familiarity with container platforms like Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS.
Working knowledge of CI/CD and development tooling including Git, Jira, and Jenkins.
Exposure to operations and monitoring tools like Grafana, Sumo Logic, or PRTG.

Responsibilities

Configure, optimize, and support public cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments.
Enhance shared cloud services with a focus on availability, performance, security, capacity, and user experience.
Manage security posture, adherence to corporate best practices, and FedRAMP guidelines.
Drive effective application operations, established monitoring, and incident response workflows alongside development teams.
Maintain essential operational runbooks, architecture diagrams, and service descriptions.
