Site Reliability Engineer III
About The Position
The Site Reliability Engineer III collaborates with Software Engineering teams to design, develop, and implement features that improve system resilience, scalability, and performance. The role proactively identifies and resolves system bottlenecks and failure points; develops automation tools, frameworks, and infrastructure-as-code practices to streamline operations; and contributes reliability, scalability, and performance considerations to architectural decisions. It also leads chaos engineering and resiliency testing, maintains disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, promotes observability practices such as error budgets, SLOs, and SLIs, and works with product and business teams to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Software Engineering teams to design, develop, and implement features that enhance system resilience, scalability, and performance.
- Proactively identify and resolve system bottlenecks and failure points.
- Develop and refine automation tools and frameworks, including infrastructure-as-code practices, to streamline operational workflows, deployments, and infrastructure management.
- Participate in architectural design discussions and integrate reliability, scalability, and performance considerations into strategic decisions.
- Design and execute chaos engineering experiments and resiliency tests, analyze results, and implement improvements to system robustness and recovery capabilities.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies.
- Promote and implement observability practices, including error budgeting, service-level objectives (SLOs), and service-level indicators (SLIs).
- Collaborate with product and business teams to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
