About The Position

This role involves working with development and platform engineering teams to migrate and maintain applications in Google Cloud. The engineer will apply Observability concepts and applications to maintain services, monitor metrics, system health, and analyze reports. Responsibilities include providing on-call rotation support for production systems, facilitating incident management, and conducting post-incident reviews. The role also focuses on driving and contributing to designs for application operational resiliency, fault tolerance, and capacity planning. Continuous improvement of processes and systems, promotion and implementation of automation, and management of toil are key aspects. The engineer will collaborate with application teams to ensure designed software solutions meet non-functional requirements such as availability, performance, security, and maintainability standards. Telecommuting is permitted on a hybrid schedule as determined by the employer.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field
36 months of experience in software development or a related occupation.

Responsibilities

Migrate and maintain applications in Google Cloud.
