About The Position

This role is for a Site Reliability Engineer II in the Bay Area, with offices in San Jose. It involves hybrid work and 24/7 FedRAMP Operations with a rotational shift. The initial contract is until March 27. This position requires US citizenship and residence on US soil, operating within a FedRAMP Moderate-authorized environment. The role is hands-on, focusing on pipeline management and real ownership, not just monitoring. Engineers are expected to be able to read Kibana queries at 3 am, differentiate between a blip and a breach, and act on them in a FedRAMP-authorized cloud platform that requires high availability.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in SRE, DevOps, systems administration, or cloud support.
  • Solid Linux administration (RHEL, Amazon Linux, Ubuntu) and comfort with bash/Python scripting.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes/EKS, AWS core services, and L4/L7 load balancing troubleshooting.
  • Prometheus, Grafana, and ChatOps-via-Slack experience.
  • US citizenship and US-soil residency.
  • Genuine availability for overnight/weekend rotational shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Real-time monitoring and first-response triage across AWS (Commercial/GovCloud) and EKS infrastructure.
  • Log-level root cause investigation in Kibana and Elasticsearch.
  • CVE remediation and STIG hardening within FedRAMP SLA windows.
  • Deployment execution and troubleshooting through GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, and Argo Workflows.
