About The Position

SOLV Energy is seeking an experienced Site Quality Manager to lead project-level quality assurance and quality control activities. Reporting to the Regional Quality Manager, this on-site leader implements the Site-Specific Quality Plan (SSQP), manages quality inspection teams, and serves as the primary quality liaison with client representatives, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies. The role is based full-time at a jobsite in Plymouth, North Carolina, and requires frequent travel to remote project locations for extended periods. The position supports utility-scale solar construction and related civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical work. The manager helps develop and manage project quality processes and the Inspection Test Plan (ITP), conducts inspections and audits, manages nonconformances and corrective actions, maintains QA/QC records and reports, oversees subcontractor quality, and promotes continuous improvement. The role must ensure work meets company and project requirements, contract specifications, manufacturer instructions, and applicable codes and regulations.

Requirements

At least 3–5 years of experience in utility-scale solar quality management.
In-depth knowledge of utility-scale photovoltaic systems, civil construction, electrical and mechanical codes, and QA/QC methodologies.
Experience with project management software such as Procore or Primavera P6.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven leadership capabilities.
Ability to travel frequently and work on-site at remote project locations for extended periods.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

Quality management certifications, such as ASQ Certified Auditor, ISO 9001, or Six Sigma.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

Assist the Regional Quality Manager in developing, implementing, and managing processes under the Site-Specific Quality Plan (SSQP), in accordance with company policies, project specifications, and industry standards.
Assist in developing the project Inspection Test Plan (ITP), including inspection processes for all definable features of work.
Enforce company-wide Quality Management System (QMS) standards.
Conduct regular inspections in accordance with the ITP, SSQP, and contract requirements.
Perform internal, process, and documentation audits of civil, mechanical, and electrical construction activities and commissioning.
Document inspection and audit findings and verify implementation of corrective actions.
Identify, report, and manage nonconformance issues and quality deficiencies.
Lead root cause analyses and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
Organize and maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and test results.
Generate regular quality metrics reports for project and company leadership.
Become proficient in SOLV Energy’s Sunscreen quality software for inspection documentation and reporting.
Review subcontractor QA plans, audit subcontractor work, and ensure supplied materials and equipment meet specifications.
Facilitate lessons-learned meetings and provide feedback to engineering and procurement teams to improve quality and efficiency.
Conduct post-construction reviews and add lessons learned to the repository for training applications.
Ensure site activities comply with contractual requirements, manufacturer instructions, applicable codes, and regulations.
Manage quality inspection teams and act as the primary quality liaison with on-site client representatives, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
