About The Position

SOLV Energy is seeking an experienced Site Quality Manager to lead project-level quality assurance and quality control activities. Reporting to the Regional Quality Manager, this role is the on-site leader responsible for implementing the Site-Specific Quality Plan (SSQP), managing quality inspection teams, and serving as the primary quality liaison with client representatives, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies. The manager works with the Regional Quality Manager to develop and implement quality processes, supports development of the project Inspection Test Plan, and enforces company Quality Management System standards. The role oversees inspections, audits, nonconformance resolution, corrective and preventive actions, QA/QC documentation, and quality reporting. It also manages subcontractor quality, supports continuous improvement and lessons learned, and ensures site activities comply with contractual requirements, manufacturer instructions, codes, and regulations. The role is full-time on a jobsite in Bremond, Texas, and requires frequent travel and extended periods at remote project locations. Requirements

At least 3–5 years of experience in utility-scale solar quality management.
In-depth knowledge of utility-scale photovoltaic systems, civil construction, electrical and mechanical codes, and QA/QC methodologies.
Experience with project management software such as Procore or Primavera P6.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven leadership capabilities.
Ability to travel frequently and work on-site at remote project locations for extended periods.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

Quality management certifications such as ASQ Certified Auditor, ISO 9001, or Six Sigma.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

Assist the Regional Quality Manager in developing, implementing, and managing quality processes in accordance with the Site-Specific Quality Plan, company policies, project specifications, and industry standards.
Assist in developing the project Inspection Test Plan, including inspection processes for all definable features of work.
Enforce company-wide Quality Management System standards.
Conduct regular inspections in accordance with the Inspection Test Plan, Site-Specific Quality Plan, and contract requirements.
Perform internal, process, and documentation audits of civil, mechanical, and electrical construction activities and commissioning; document findings and verify corrective actions.
Identify, report, and manage nonconformance issues and quality deficiencies.
Lead root cause analyses and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
Organize and maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and test results; prepare regular quality metrics reports for project and company leadership.
Become proficient in SOLV Energy’s Sunscreen quality inspection documentation and reporting software.
Review subcontractor QA plans, audit subcontractor work, and ensure supplied materials and equipment meet specifications.
Facilitate lessons-learned meetings and provide feedback to engineering and procurement teams to improve project quality and efficiency.
Conduct post-construction reviews and enter lessons learned into the repository for training applications.
Ensure site activities comply with contractual requirements, manufacturer instructions, and relevant codes and regulations.
Travel frequently and work on-site at remote project locations for extended periods.
