About The Position

Diamond Infrastructure Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a SPO Permit Writer/Damage Prevention Rep located in Freeport (TX). This role is responsible for writing safe work permits and serving as the Damage Prevention Representative for work being done in Site Pipeline owned areas.

Requirements

A minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalent
5 or more years of relevant experience
Valid U.S. Driver's License
Must possess a TWIC card or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card.
Willing to work overtime (extra hours beyond your regular scheduled) if required.
This position requires compliance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing regulations. Candidates must pass a DOT-regulated drug test prior to employment and may be subject to random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion testing during employment.
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.
No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Nice To Haves

An Associate's degree or higher or 3 or more years of military experience
Pipeline and/or regulatory experience in emergency services and security (ES&S), DOT, and/or Damage Prevention is desirable
Excavation Competent Person certification

Responsibilities

Permitting daily and project work including excavations, construction, maintenance, and any other activities within Site Pipeline area of control.
Ensure all EH&S rules / policies and procedures are followed by the contractor performing work activities
Actively participate in the Safety Observation / Intervention programs and conduct Safety Audits
Lead daily tailgate meetings
Ensure contractor required safety documentation is in place prior to permitting
Response to site ES&S as needed
Ensure good housekeeping on job site.
Participates in BBP and other safety required training and programs
Serve as Damage Prevention Representative on the job site to protect Dow assets.
