About The Position

The primary mission of this role is to maintain equipment within the department. This involves adhering to safety rules, working collaboratively on continuous improvements for injection molding and auxiliary equipment, and possessing a strong understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic systems. The technician will also be responsible for executing lock-out/tag-out procedures, working with suppliers to resolve equipment failures, and obtaining necessary certifications for forklift, man lift, and crane operation.

Requirements

Mechanical and electrical experience REQUIRED with industrial control an asset
Must be computer literate on the Windows platform.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

Previous automotive Injection molding and robotic experiences a plus.
Computer technology and programming an asset.

Responsibilities

Follow safety rules and maintain a safe and healthful workplace.
Work with the Maintenance Superintendent to implement continuous improvements on Injection molding & Auxiliary equipment.
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, including Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC systems.
Troubleshoot and debug hydraulic circuits, read machine schematics, and perform repairs.
Troubleshoot and debug pneumatic circuits, read machine schematics, and perform repairs.
Understand 6-axis robot fundamentals, and troubleshoot and debug Cartesian robots.
Perform general maintenance, troubleshooting, debugging, and repair of injection-molding machines.
Execute lock out/tag out procedures on all Injection and auxiliary equipment.
Work with equipment suppliers to determine root cause of equipment failures and implement permanent solutions.
Obtain and maintain Fork truck license, Man lift certificate, and crane operation certification.
