About The Position

The Site Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the site, including safety, operations, customer service, staffing, inventory management, and financial results. This role works closely with Sales and Supply Chain teams to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and profitable growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive leadership experience in site, branch, manufacturing, distribution, or industrial gas operations.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Hazardous Materials training or the ability to obtain required certifications.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret operational, financial, and technical data and make sound business decisions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, vendors, regulators, and management.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to prepare reports, correspondence, and operational procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of industrial gas products, cylinder production, distribution operations, and related equipment.

  • Must possess close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry Experience Preferred - Experience in industrial gases, packaged gas operations, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or related industries is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture that prioritizes employee well-being and environmental stewardship.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA, DOT, EPA, FDA, and company safety standards and procedures.
  • Lead site safety initiatives, training programs, audits, and corrective action efforts.
  • Maintain compliance with hazardous materials handling, storage, transportation, and reporting requirements.
  • Direct all day-to-day site operations, including packaged gas production, cylinder processing, inventory management, and distribution activities.
  • Ensure efficient workflow, productivity, and quality standards throughout the facility.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support lean manufacturing and process improvement efforts to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain teams to ensure product availability and timely customer deliveries.
  • Foster a customer-focused culture by ensuring timely and professional service.
  • Resolve customer concerns and service issues in a prompt and effective manner.
  • Partner with Sales teams to support packaged gas, welding products, and hard goods sales growth.
  • Monitor site performance metrics and drive improvements in customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability.
  • Lead, coach, and develop site employees to achieve operational and business objectives.
  • Manage staffing levels, employee performance, training, and development activities.
  • Foster employee engagement, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives.
  • Monitor site expenses and support financial objectives and budgetary goals.
  • Review operational reports and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and maintain required business records, reports, and documentation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of regulatory, operational, and administrative reporting.
