About The Position

Covenant Aviation Security (CAS) is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead and oversee security operations at Miami International Airport (MIA). The Site Manager is responsible for the overall management, administration, operational performance, and regulatory compliance of the assigned security program. This position provides leadership to supervisory personnel and security staff while ensuring contractual obligations, customer expectations, and company standards are consistently achieved.The Site Manager serves as the primary liaison between Covenant Aviation Security, airport stakeholders, air carriers, freight forwarders, regulatory agencies, and other operational partners. This position is accountable for workforce management, operational readiness, customer service, employee development, contract performance, and security compliance. Founded in 2002, Covenant Aviation Security (CAS) was established to provide a higher standard of transportation security following the events of September 11, 2001. CAS pioneered a customer-focused security model built on a highly trained, professional workforce supported by competitive wages, benefits, and ongoing development. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Security Administration, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Aviation Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory, management, or operational leadership experience within a security, military, law enforcement, aviation, or related operational environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required airport credentials, badges, and access privileges, and contract-specific certifications as required.
  • Valid driver's license
  • AAAE Airport Certified Employee (ACE) Security Certification, or the ability to obtain certification within one (2) years of hire.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage employee performance, and drive operational results.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Ability to work various shifts, weekends, holidays, and respond to operational emergencies as required.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing aviation security, cargo security, airport operations, military, law enforcement, or contract security operations.
  • Experience working with air carriers, freight forwarders, warehouse operations, or cargo screening programs.
  • Experience managing workforce scheduling, payroll administration, and operational reporting.
  • Knowledge of TSA regulations, cargo screening requirements, and aviation security operations.
  • Experience leading large operational teams in a 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and management of airport security operations at the assigned contract location.
  • Direct and oversee supervisors and security personnel to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, post orders, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Manage security operations supporting cargo screening and other contract-specific security functions.
  • Develop and maintain staffing plans, workforce schedules, and operational coverage to ensure efficient service delivery and contract compliance.
  • Conduct routine inspections, assessments, and performance evaluations to ensure operational effectiveness and compliance.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide coaching, training, mentoring, and corrective action as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, emergencies, operational issues, and customer concerns and ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain operational readiness by ensuring security equipment, screening areas, and assigned workspaces are safe, secure, and fully operational.
  • Ensure timely completion and submission of all required operational reports, audits, assessments, payroll documentation, and administrative records.
  • Coordinate with airport stakeholders, air carriers, freight forwarders, regulatory agencies, and Covenant leadership regarding operational needs and performance expectations.
  • Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, safety, security, and customer service.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, workforce development, succession planning, and employee retention initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
