About The Position

Hana is seeking experienced Site Managers for its Norfolk, VA locations. This role is crucial for overseeing security operations and ensuring the safety of military bases, personnel, and critical facilities. The Site Manager will lead a team of Lieutenants and Security Officers, upholding the company's core values of professionalism, discipline, service, and integrity. Hana has over 20 years of experience providing security for the Department of Defense, and this position offers the training, standards, and team support necessary for success in a vital role.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of Supervision experience in security.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an Armed Security Officer (commercial or law enforcement) in the last five (5) years; or minimum of two (2) years of honorable service as a member of any US Armed Forces.
  • Must be proficient using firearms (9mm and AR-15).
  • Be at least 21 years of age or be an honorably discharged veteran.
  • Must not have felony convictions and no convictions for domestic violence crime.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen. Dual citizenship is prohibited.
  • Speak and be literate in English to the extent of writing, reading and understanding printed regulations, orders, instructions, etc.
  • Possess a valid current state-issued driver’s license.
  • Have current or able to obtain VA DCJS (Armed).
  • Have current or is able to obtain a DoD Clearance.
  • Successfully meet all of the following: Pass Drug Test, Psychological Testing Requirement (CPI/ MMPI tests), Medical Health Evaluation (Physical exam, Visual, Auditory), Physical Abilities Test (1.5 mile run in less than 17.30 min/ 19 push-ups in 2 min).
  • Be able to wear duty belt (20lbs), stand, walk, run, remain alert.
  • Upon Hire, must be available to successfully complete mandatory 2-week training (classroom, tactical, firearms range, OC/ Baton, CPR/ First Aid).

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall supervision and leadership of the security team, including Lieutenants and Security Officers (S/Os).
  • Ensure the site operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all contractual, regulatory, financial, and profitability expectations, and Company standards.
  • Foster a "one-team" culture among Lieutenants, ensuring unified responsibility for all security operations.
  • Promote teamwork, professionalism, and adherence to the Company’s Core Values.
  • Partner with management to promote a respectful and inclusive work environment.
  • Develop and maintain Lieutenant schedules to ensure 24/7 supervisory coverage and effective collaboration.
  • Oversee implementation of S/O shift schedules, ensuring timely publication and coverage of call-offs.
  • Maintain work discipline among S/Os and issue disciplinary action as needed.
  • Oversee consistent and fair enforcement of the Company’s attendance policy.
  • Promote a culture of recognition and reward for outstanding performance.
  • Ensure Lieutenants conduct Quality Control (QC) inspections and support the Quality Control Program.
  • Conduct safety inspections of the work environment to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Assist with the screening, interviewing, and hiring of S/O candidates.
  • Provide emergency post coverage for Lieutenant or S/Os to ensure no gap in site security.
  • Review, correct, and approve timesheets and payroll discrepancies.
  • Perform administrative duties such as preparing reports, conducting investigations, and assisting with contract compliance.
