About The Position

The Expat Site Manager leads CAE USA’s onsite operations at the Seahawk Simulation & Warfare Center (SSWC), overseeing training-device availability, sustainment activities, SSA-compliant operations, expatriate support, and daily coordination between CAE USA, CAE Australia, and RAN stakeholders. The role ensures high readiness of MH‑60R Tactical Operational Flight Trainers (TOFTs), Weapons Tactics Trainers (WTTs), and associated systems within a classified facility environment. This position requires a leader capable of operating in a multinational, high‑tempo military simulation environment while maintaining strict security, safety, and customer‑facing standards.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in military aviation, simulation, training systems, or sustainment operations.
  • Experience managing multinational or expatriate teams.
  • Strong understanding of classified environments and security compliance (SSA, export control, TCP).
  • Ability to interface effectively with military customers and contractors.
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to relocate to Australia for long-term expatriate assignment.
  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
  • Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures.
  • Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form.
  • Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know.
  • Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval.
  • All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • MH‑60R, maritime helicopter, Navy training system, or rotary-wing operations experience.
  • Prior experience with CAE TOFT/WTT systems or other advanced simulators.
  • Familiarity with RAN operations or Commonwealth defense organizations.
  • Background supporting NAWCTSD programs or COMS/CIS sustainment activities.
  • Experience interpreting SSA/AOP compliance scenarios in affiliate environments

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of CAE USA personnel supporting MH‑60R training systems at SSWC.
  • Coordinate technical, sustainment, and training support activities with CAE Australia staff and RAN customer representatives.
  • Ensure daily training schedule support and device availability in accordance with RAN Sustainment requirements.
  • Oversee simulator readiness, maintenance oversight, fault response, and prioritization of device recoveries.
  • Serve as CAE USA's primary onsite representative to RAN, NAWCTSD, and Commonwealth defense offices.
  • Facilitate discussions, meetings, and program updates with internal and external partners.
  • Support contract negotiations, sustainment planning, and device performance reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with SSA, Affiliate Operations Plan (AOP), export control, and Technology Control Plan (TCP) constraints.
  • Manage proper separation of U.S. and Australian affiliate responsibilities to protect classified and controlled information.
  • Serve as onsite authority for ensuring expatriate staff adhere to security rules within a Secret‑classified building and device environment.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate onsite CAE USA expats and coordinate daily workflow across multinational teams.
  • Assist expats with operational integration, HR coordination, local procedures, and visa‑related workplace requirements.
  • Maintain consistent communication with CAE USA HR, Security, and Program Management offices.
  • Support delivery of sustainment, COMS/CIS activities, engineering updates, obsolescence management, and courseware/device support tasks.
  • Contribute to program documentation, reporting, and contract deliverables.
