About The Position

Effectively execute site maintenance activities on multiple products. Demonstrate and perform Level III skills from Site Maintenance Technician Skills III Matrix. Professionally interact with external and internal customers/departments. Generally, this position works under the direction of a Technical Service Engineer.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in related field or other engineering discipline preferred. Technical School or Military Certification is acceptable.
  • Minimum of 4 years of technical field service experience in the semiconductor industry or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from direct manager, customers, and the general public.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English language or language of country employed).
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Excellent judgment, troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to use standard statistical analysis methodologies.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledge of wide range of electrical diagnostic instruments and shop/hand tools.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints and diagnose/troubleshoot electromechanical devices.
  • Flexible, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be a team player.
  • PC skills (MS Office, Excel, Windows)
  • Excellent customer satisfaction skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Valid Drivers License and ability to obtain all necessary travel document.
  • Presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all corporate safety protocols and report unsafe conditions.
  • Perform installations and/or maintenance on multiple products.
  • Install software using the provided installation procedures and release notes.
  • Use supplied corporate processes to locate software revisions and appropriate documentation.
  • Verify software status and evaluate appropriate information for log analysis.
  • Perform log analysis of system errors to determine hardware or software issue.
  • Analyze a variety of software platforms within the product sets with minimum supervision.
  • Effectively troubleshoot issues for both hardware and software.
  • Obtain Factory Training and achieve Certification on multiple products.
  • Provide on the job training to customer technicians and internal FSEs in routine operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of assigned products.
  • Apply company policies and procedures to resolve issues of complex scope.
  • Professionally interact with, and present technical information to, assigned customer and internal team.
  • Write and edit technical procedures within scope of responsibility and capability.
  • Recommend technical solutions/resolutions to internal engineering groups.
  • Serve as a company liaison between customer and company engineering to solve local site technical issues and present technical information.
  • Work independently without supervision and lead other FSEs, as needed.
  • Understand department objectives.
  • Prepare and submit all necessary technical reports and other paperwork.
  • Travel on short notice, as well as extended travel time (Domestic & International).
