We’re looking for a Manager-in-Training to join our team. As a Manager-in-Training, you’ll dive into the action and learn exactly what it takes to operate a top-tier Tommy’s Express location. Through Tommy University and a personalized development track, you’ll be coached by seasoned mentors and build the leadership, operations, and guest experience skills that set our leaders apart.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent training and experience is required.
  • 3–5 years of managerial or related leadership experience.
  • Candidates should be tech-savvy, proficient in Microsoft Office, and comfortable navigating database systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • A process-driven mindset and the ability to collaborate across all levels and departments are required.
  • Excellent organization, time management, multitasking, and prioritization skills are critical.
  • You must be adaptable, resourceful, and capable of making smart, data-backed decisions.
  • Integrity, dependability, urgency, and a drive for results are key.
  • A passion for exceptional customer care and a positive, can-do attitude are must-haves.
  • Strong initiative and the instinct to spot gaps—and fill them—will set top performers apart.

Responsibilities

  • Protecting profitability, growing the business, and confidently representing the company.
  • Oversee daily operations—including shifts, scheduling, delegation, compliance, and policy maintenance.
  • Lead and develop all leaders and team members on site through strong communication, training, and performance management.
  • Hiring top talent, setting clear goals, and professionally handling HR or disciplinary matters.
  • Ensure the site remains safe, clean, and well-maintained while delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Manage invoices, paperwork, POS systems, and monthly inspections with accuracy.
  • Drive top-tier KPIs, uphold Tommy’s standards, and champion the Unlimited Club.
  • Serve as the face of the company and take on any tasks that support the business and its guests.
