About The Position

Abacus Technology is seeking a Site Lead to guide a technical team providing infrastructure support for the Air Force Intranet Control (AFINC) III Support program at Lackland AFB. This is a full-time position.

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience in network administration and support including experience in a lead or supervisory role.
  • HS diploma or GED.
  • Must be Security+ and CCNA certified.
  • Strong technical background in an IT or engineering field.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills across multiple teams and leadership levels.
  • Experience developing operational documentation, reports, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Experience tracking tasks, coordinating activities, and identifying operational risks.
  • Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, upgrading, patching, and hardening routers, serial consoles, load balancers, and switches.
  • Extensive experience with enterprise level network architectures and configurations.
  • Able to assess infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions.
  • Experience with DoD systems and military protocols.
  • Outstanding communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Must be a US Citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance with SCI access (TS/SCI).
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

  • CCNP and CCIE certification desired.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the flow of operational information, support coordination between program leadership and local personnel, and ensure site activities are properly documented and reported.
  • Ensure Lackland personnel remain aligned with program leadership priorities and directives.
  • Facilitate collaboration between Lackland personnel and Gunter leadership to support the successful sharing of work and projects.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for operational inquiries and coordination activities.
  • Monitor site resources, mission risks, and potential operational impacts and communicate issues to program leadership.
  • Document projects, tasks, and responsibilities to support accurate tracking, reporting, and program coordination. Maintain an active task list identifying responsible personnel and validating the relevance and status of ongoing work.
  • Attend program and team meetings to ensure alignment and provide post-meeting summaries outlining deliverables and expectations.
  • Proactively communicate risks, emerging issues, and coordination needs to relevant leadership teams.
  • Coordinate onboarding and out-processing logistics for site personnel including access, equipment, and workspace requirements.
  • Conduct periodic site inspections to ensure the workspace remains ready to support personnel and mission requirements.
  • Monitor personnel availability to support continuity of operations and effective turnover when required.
  • Mentor junior personnel and support skill development to improve team performance.
  • Ensure personnel follow established accountability and reporting processes.
  • Analyze and simulate network traffic to aide in problem resolution or to test updated configurations in virtual or physical lab environments.
  • Monitor system utilization and circuit bandwidth and report anomalies to Government team leads.
