About The Position
FanSided is seeking a Site Expert for The Timber Lean, a site dedicated to the Portland Timbers. The role involves building a vibrant community, providing fresh daily content, and being the most knowledgeable source for the fandom. The goal is to offer readers a healthy mix of news and opinionated analysis, with a focus on unique content. Site Experts are compensated based on traffic accrued by their articles and the overall site traffic. They are expected to lead a site that publishes multiple pieces of daily content, including news stories, analysis pieces, and viral discussions. The Site Expert will produce the majority of the content and support other contributors by editing articles, offering feedback, and suggesting topics. Additionally, they will manage the site’s social media accounts (Twitter and Facebook) by sharing articles and engaging with fans. The ideal candidate must write clearly and effectively in English. FanSided is a rapidly growing fan-focused digital media network offering unique opportunities for writers.
