About The Position
FanSided is seeking a Site Expert for Reporting KC, a site focused on Sporting Kansas City. The role involves building a strong community, providing fresh daily content with a mix of news and opinionated analysis, and being a knowledgeable voice for the fandom. Site Experts are responsible for strategizing content efforts, producing the majority of daily content (news stories, analysis, discussions), and supporting contributing writers through editing and feedback. They also assist with the site's social media accounts (Twitter and Facebook) by sharing articles and engaging with fans. The ideal candidate must write clearly and effectively in English. FanSided is a rapidly growing digital media network offering opportunities for both experienced writers and newcomers to the industry.
Requirements
- Must be able to write clearly and effectively in English.
- Must be able to produce the majority of posting requirements, publishing multiple pieces of daily content.
- Must be able to support contributing writers by editing their articles, offering feedback, and suggesting topic ideas.
- Must be able to help with the site’s social media accounts (typically Twitter and Facebook) by sharing articles and creatively engaging with other fans.
